Chinese Foreign Minister Attends OIC Meeting
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Monday China and the Islamic world have a strong desire to build partnerships for unity, justice and development.
Wang spoke during a joint press conference with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
It was part of the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Wang said his presence at the OIC event reflected both parties’ desire to further deepen cooperation.
Wang said China and the Islamic world have a profound history, seek similar values and share historic missions.
Currently, China runs the largest concentration camps since the Nazis for Uyghur Muslims.
The US has declared the Chinese persecution of Uyghurs, a genocide.
