CAIR now calls Israel’s war on Gaza ‘US-Israel’ assault
The Council on American-Islamic Relations has denounced the recent joint Israel-US assault in Gaza’s “safe zone” Rafah, labeling it as genocidal brutality.
At least 40 people were killed in an Israeli bombing of a tent housing displaced Palestinians in Rafah on Sunday.
America’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy group criticized the Biden administration, asserting its complicity through ongoing arms support to Israel despite red lines being crossed.
CAIR highlights that thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, with 2 million forcibly displaced.
The organization’s National Executive Director Nihad Awad condemned the ongoing violence, emphasizing American involvement in what he describes as an American-Israeli genocide.
The group has been addressing these atrocities, participating in news conferences and supporting legal actions against Israel in international courts.
CAIR also praised Norway, Ireland, and Spain for recognizing Palestine and urged the Biden administration to stop blocking Palestine’s UN membership.
