Blind Indonesian Couples Hold Mass Wedding
The brides were dressed in elaborate and glittery kebayas, the Indonesian national costume.
The grooms were clad in traditional wedding outfits.
Both groups were all smiles as family members led them to the wedding venue Tuesday in Indonesia’s Bogor district, West Java province.
The couples joined a mass wedding event held and sponsored by Saving for Heaven foundation, a charitable organization for blind couples in Bogor.
Live music was performed by blind musicians and singers on the special day.
Indonesians have long chosen special dates for weddings or proposals.
The brides and grooms, some coming from poor families, enjoyed their special days without the hassle of having to pay for or prepare for the weddings.
