Biden hopes Israeli strikes against Iran are ‘the end’
WASHINGTON (AA) – President Joe Biden on Saturday expressed hope that Israeli strikes against Iran were “the end.”
“I was on with the intelligence community for the last half hour. It looks like they didn’t hit anything other than military targets. I hope that this is the end,” Biden told the reporters.
The Israeli army targeted Iranian military facilities on Saturday in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel Oct. 1.
An American defense official stressed that there was “no US involvement.”
Iranian military officials had previously warned that any attack from Israel would be met with a “harsher response.”
