Biden administration extends overtime protections to 1 million more workers
President Joe Biden’s administration is extending overtime protections to 1 million more workers making less than $44,000 a year.
The White House said in a statement the next year overtime protections will be extended to another 3 million workers, while the overtime threshold will be raised to $58,656.
Biden said Republicans side with big corporations and special interests to deny workers these protections.
The latest extension is a series of administrative decisions designed to help working people and consumers.
