Azerbaijan launches mobile STEAM and space innovation project
Mobile initiative to promote scientific engagement and regional cooperation in space education
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) – Azerbaijan’s Space Academy is set to launch a mobile-based project aimed at promoting space innovation and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education across the region.
The project is designed to contribute to the scientific and cultural ties among Turkic nations, strengthening cooperation through accessible space education, reported Azerbaijan’s Trend News.
According to Ali Taghiyev, who leads community projects at the academy, the initiative will serve as a mobile educational and experiential platform, not only within Azerbaijan but across all member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.
Taghiyev emphasized that one of the academy’s core missions is to build sustainable bridges between Azerbaijan’s space ecosystem and broader society.
“We are pursuing various initiatives to make the world of space science more inclusive and relatable to everyday life,” he said.
Highlighting a global trend of increasing investment in socially-oriented space programs, he added that the academy’s projects aim to enhance public engagement and foster the development of human capital in the field of space.
Over the past year, more than 12,000 citizens have benefited from the academy’s outreach efforts.
These initiatives integrate space science with diverse fields such as culture, art, cuisine, and healthcare, broadening the scope and accessibility of the space sector for communities across the region.
