American Muslims urged to join June protests against Gaza genocide
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has urged American Muslims and citizens of other faiths to participate in nationwide protests on Saturday.
The demonstrations aim to mark eight months of violence and suffering in Gaza and demand President Joe Biden’s intervention to halt US support for Israel’s war.
CAIR emphasized the need for tangible policy changes, calling on Biden to suspend military aid to Israel and enforce his own red line against the ongoing genocide.
The organization stressed the importance of peaceful protests to send a clear message to elected officials.
As concern grows over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, citizens are rallying for immediate action to end the violence and suffering which has killed over 36,000 Palestinians, including more than 15,000 children.
