American Muslim group condemns attack on Jewish temple in Florida
TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned an attack on a Jewish house of worship.
This is the fourth anti-Semitic incident reported to Pensacola police in a few weeks.
The latest incident occurred at Florida’s first Jewish temple, Temple Beth El.
The state’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization called on Pensacola police and FBI to conduct a full investigation.
In a press release, the Council on American-Islamic Relations called for exemplary punishment of those responsible for the series of anti-Semitic attacks on the Jewish community.
According to media reports, Pensacola police are investigating an attack. The attacker hurled two bricks into the windows of Temple Beth El on Friday.
Temple Beth El is considered the first Jewish house of worship in Florida, built-in 1876.
