Al-Qassam Brigades claims it destroyed 27 Israeli military vehicles in 2 days
ISTANBUL (AA) – Hamas’ armed wing Al-Qassam Brigades on Monday said its fighters destroyed 27 Israeli military vehicles in Gaza in the past two days.
“Our Mujahideen (fighters) destroyed 27 Israeli military vehicles partially or completely in the past 48 hours in the fighting axes (in Gaza),” Al-Qassam Brigades’ spokesman Abu Obeida said in a statement.
He added that Al-Qassam fighters also struck the Israeli forces with dozens of mortar shells.
The Israeli army is yet to comment on the announcement by the Palestinian group.
Israel said 30 soldiers have been killed and 260 others injured since it began expanded ground operations in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 27.
Israel launched air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, have been killed in the Israeli bombardments in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli death toll is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
