AI-powered platform launched in UAE to aid disabled students
These tools help teachers understand individual student needs without requiring major financial resources
ABU DHABI, UAE (MNTV) – A groundbreaking AI-driven educational platform, Speedy Lab, has been introduced across schools in the UAE to support students with invisible disabilities, including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder ADHD, and learning issues.
The initiative, developed by Dubai-based EdTech company Knowledge Hub, aligns with the guidelines of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek), and the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA).
According to Khaleej Times, the platform focuses on early detection, intervention, and personalized learning plans for students with special educational needs.
“The pilot program allows us to test and refine the platform in real classroom scenarios, ensuring it benefits students, teachers, and families,” said Surekha Kembhavi, founder and managing director of Knowledge Hub.
Speedy Lab empowers educators to create tailored learning strategies using advanced AI models that analyze historical and real-time data, including large language models (LLMs).
These tools help teachers understand individual student needs without requiring major financial resources.
“AI-driven platforms can identify strengths and weaknesses in students and craft personalized mechanisms for their development,” said Hyther Nizam, President MEA at Zoho Corp.
Parents also gain access to detailed reports on their child’s progress in areas like literacy, numeracy, cognitive skills, and motor development.
These insights enable families to play a more active role in supporting their child’s education.
“The reports are designed to bridge the gap between school and home learning, making it easier for parents to track and enhance their child’s growth,” Kembhavi added.
Child psychiatrist Dr. Dhaval Mody highlighted the importance of such AI tools, noting their role in fostering cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development.
“These platforms go far beyond academics, providing structured, evidence-based support tailored to each child,” Mody explained.
Experts agree that the UAE’s adoption of innovative EdTech solutions signals a major step toward creating inclusive educational environments that address the diverse needs of all learners.
