AI deep fake scams target elderly investors
Scammers are exploiting AI video generators to create convincing deep fake videos featuring famous figures like Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Jeff Bezos, luring people into fraudulent investments.
They mimic voices and facial expressions, using fake graphics and news logos to lend credibility.
Experts say these fake videos, produced cheaply and quickly, promise high returns on non-existent investment opportunities, preying particularly on the elderly.
They also warn that as technology advances, these scams will become increasingly convincing.
Despite efforts by platforms like YouTube and Facebook to combat such fraud, deepfake technology continues to evolve, posing a growing threat.
