Afghanistan resumes passport distribution after 5-month hiatus
KABUL, Afghanistan (AA) – Afghanistan Wednesday resumed issuing passports five months after the process was suspended due to “technical problems.”
According to the Passport General Directorate, the technical problems have been resolved and the distribution of passports will resume.
Afghans who went to directorate branches formed long lines to get new passports.
Earlier, the Taliban interim administration had announced that it would resume passport distribution across the country on Wednesday.
