U.S. Bans Russian Oil Imports As Rep Ilhan Omar Hammers White House Asking Saudis To Pump More Oil
President Joe Biden announced a ban on US imports of Russian oil on Tuesday.
“Today I am announcing the United State is targeting the main artery of Russia’s economy. We’re banning all imports of Russian oil and gas and energy.”
US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, criticized President Joe Biden over reports that the White House may ask Saudi Arabia to pump more oil.
Omar tweeted the U.S. response to Putin’s “immoral war” should not be to strengthen ties with the Saudis who are “causing the worst humanitarian crisis on the planet in Yemen.”
