UNICEF Says Half A Million Children Among Ukrainian Refugees; UN Says War Might Create 10 Million Refugees
The U.N. children’s agency, UNICEF said half a million children have already fled Ukraine to neighboring countries, with a growing number of refugees.
Poland’s border guards said more than 600,000 people had crossed over.
The UN expects that more than 10 million people may flee their homes if violence continues, including 4 million people who make cross-borders to neighboring countries,
The Biden administration is offering temporary protected status to Ukrainians who have been living in the U.S. without documentation.
Russia and Ukraine agreed Thursday to create humanitarian corridors for civilians fleeing intensifying fighting.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow’s troop advancement was going according to plan and schedule.
