Muslim Leaders And Organizations Call For End To Russia’s Invasion Of Ukraine
Prominent Muslims are calling for an immediate ceasefire to the bombing and fighting in Ukraine as the Russian military invasion advances.
Zara Mohammed, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain, spoke out against the war.
She wrote in a tweet, “The only ones that truly pay the price for war are the innocent civilians who have no say in it.”
Basharat Saleem, executive director of the Islamic Society of North America, calling for dialogue emphasized the possible impact on Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is going through similar turmoil.
