Kabul Welcomes Turkish ‘Charity Train’ With Over 750 Tons Of Aid
A total of 750 tons of emergency relief goods sent by a“charity train” from Turkey to Afghanistan was delivered to Kabul Monday.
Medical aid packages were delivered to the Health Ministry of the interim Afghan administration in a ceremony.
It was coordinated by Turkey’s state-run Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency and with the support of Turkish NGOs.
Attendees included Emre Manav IMRAY MAANUV, counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Kabul, Taliban’s Deputy Health Minister Habibullah Ahunzade and representatives of Turkish institutions.
Manav said the various aid materials on the train will be delivered to 34 provinces, reaching people in every corner of Afghanistan.
Aid packages include food, winter clothing, medical supplies, wheelchairs, toys, and health supplies.
