Senator Schumer calls the UN antisemitic
Senate minority leader for the Democratic Party Chuck Schumer has called the United Nations antisemitic.
He made the statement in an interview with New York Times reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro.
They discussed a variety of topics including his forthcoming book “Antisemitism in America: A Warning”.
Schumer said Hamas has committed a genocide, not Israel.
When Garcia-Navarro reminded him that a U.N. special committee has used the word genocide for Israel, Schumer responded by calling the U.N. antisemitic.
Schumer’s book tour was abruptly postponed since he has been facing backlash over voting for the House-approved government funding bill that averted a shutdown on Friday.
