‘Free Palestine’ protest at Columbia targets former Israeli leader’s speech
Dozens of Palestinian supporters gathered outside Columbia University to protest former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s visit.
Waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans, they condemned Bennett’s policies and called for justice for Palestine.
The protest coincided with Bennett’s speech inside the university.
On Sunday, Israel blocked humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to negotiate the next phase of a ceasefire with Hamas.
Israel has killed over 60,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023.
It faces genocide charges at the International Court of Justice.
The International Criminal Court has also issued arrest warrants for war crimes against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant.
