The country aims to lead the global Muslim ready-to-wear industry by focusing on five major nations
JAKARTA, Indonesia (MNTV) – Indonesia is set to increase its focus on exporting Muslim fashion products to key markets, particularly Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Egypt.
These countries have been identified as potential destinations for Indonesia’s growing Muslim fashion industry, which has seen increased demand in recent years.
The country’s export efforts align with broader global trends in the Islamic economy, with particular emphasis on sectors like fashion, food, and pharmaceuticals.
The Indonesian government aims to capitalize on these opportunities to expand its presence in the global market.
Reni Yanita, director general of small, medium, and miscellaneous industries at the Ministry of Industry, emphasized the potential for rapid growth in Indonesia’s Muslim fashion industry in the coming years.
According to Yanita, the country’s focus is to enhance its competitiveness in the growing global Muslim fashion market, which is poised for significant expansion.

As part of this effort, Indonesia seeks to strengthen its Muslim fashion exports and establish itself as a leader in the global ready-to-wear industry.
Yanita also highlighted the potential for collaboration within the industry, noting that Indonesia’s ready-to-wear sector employed 2.7 million people in 2022, underscoring its capacity for growth and innovation.
