Azerbaijan selects Mamagama as representative for Eurovision 2025
With its participation in global events, and promoting young talents like Mamagama, Azerbaijan is determined to present its culture and music at international stage
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) – Azerbaijan has officially announced Mamagama as its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to take place in Basel, Switzerland.
The selection was confirmed by Nurlana Jafarova, head of the Azerbaijani delegation, and Turab Teymurov, head of media at Eurovision, in a statement to Azertac, Azerbaijan’s official news agency.
Formed in 2021, Mamagama has rapidly gained recognition as one of Azerbaijan’s most dynamic and innovative bands, making a name for itself on the international music scene.
The group has performed at prestigious festivals and competitions, including a well-received appearance at Albania’s Kënga Magjike Music Festival in 2022.
The band consists of Asaf (vocals), Huss (guitar), and Arif (drums), bringing a unique blend of musical creativity and stage presence to the competition.
The 69th Eurovision Song Contest will be held from May 13 to May 17, with Mamagama set to perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 13.
Azerbaijan’s participation in the contest has consistently drawn global attention, and expectations are high for the band’s debut on the Eurovision stage.
