Cairo Book Fair draws crowds with interactive eco pavilion
Egypt’s Environment Ministry showcases sustainability initiatives at annual exhibition
CAIRO (MNTV) — The Cairo International Book Fair is not just about literature this year—it’s also a hub for environmental education.
The Egyptian Environment Ministry’s pavilion has emerged as a major attraction, drawing large crowds with interactive exhibits and sustainability-focused initiatives.
The pavilion showcases a range of projects, including the “Prepare for Green” presidential campaign, Eco Egypt, Solid Waste Management, and E-Tadwer, all aimed at educating visitors on environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Visitors can engage in interactive activities such as games, competitions, and artistic workshops that promote waste reuse by transforming discarded materials into creative artwork.
Cultural sessions highlight the role of youth and children in environmental protection, fostering discussions on sustainability.
Adding to the appeal, theatrical performances featuring glove puppets and animated films focus on electronic waste management, followed by discussions to deepen public awareness.
Informational booklets and brochures are also being distributed, offering insights into environmental challenges and solutions.
With hundreds of publications and hands-on activities, the ministry’s pavilion at the Cairo Book Fair serves as an engaging platform for environmental awareness, blending education with entertainment to inspire sustainable action.
