Pakistan slams racist remarks targeting British Pakistanis

Controversy erupted after Indian lawmaker Priyanka Chaturvedi’s social media post labeled “Asian grooming gangs” as “Pakistani grooming gangs.”
The Pakistani government reacted sharply, calling such comments divisive and rooted in prejudice.
A Pakistani government coordinator compared the rhetoric to eugenics-era propaganda, rejecting the criminal labeling of an entire community.
Pakistan also highlighted the vital contributions of British Pakistanis to the U.K. in areas such as health, public service, and politics, among others.
