Police arrest NC man for alleged bomb threats against Muslims
In Cary, North Carolina, police have arrested 57-year-old David Arthur Lawrence on charges of possessing material used in bombs.
A family member tipped off authorities, claiming Lawrence had made bomb-like devices and threatened to kill Muslims.
According to search warrants, the family member provided police with a photo showing suspicious items in Lawrence’s truck.
The items included gunpowder, flint, PVC pipes, fuse cords, and sealing glue, all reportedly stored in a brown paper bag.
When questioned by the family member, Lawrence allegedly dismissed their concerns, saying it was none of their business.
Cary police officers acted swiftly, launching an investigation that led to Lawrence’s arrest.
The case highlights the critical role of community vigilance in preventing acts of violence.
Authorities have not disclosed further details but confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
