Hamas says 10 Israeli soldiers killed, injured in northern Gaza ambush
GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – The Palestinian resistance group Hamas claimed Tuesday to have killed and injured 10 Israeli soldiers in an ambush in the northern Gaza town of Jabalia.
The group’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, said its fighters detonated a house in Al-Qasaseeb area as Israeli soldiers moved into the building.
It confirmed that the blast left 10 Israeli soldiers dead and injured.
There was no confirmation yet from the Israeli army.
The army said early Tuesday that four soldiers had been killed in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip a day earlier.
At least 787 Israeli soldiers have been killed since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October last year, according to military figures.
Israel has killed more than 43,600 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 103,000 others, according to local health authorities.
Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
