Trump attorney Giuliani ordered to surrender assets in defamation case
A federal judge has ordered Rudy Giuliani to give up his valuable possessions and Manhattan penthouse.
This decision follows Giuliani’s defamation of Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.
Judge Lewis Liman said Giuliani must transfer the property within seven days.
The women will control it and can sell it for a good price.
Giuliani also must turn over luxury items, including watches from European leaders, a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey, and a Mercedes once owned by Lauren Bacall.
The women, who counted Georgia ballots after the 2020 election, will also be entitled to about $2 million in legal fees.
He owes the women about $2 million in legal fees as well.
A hearing about Giuliani’s other properties is scheduled for next Monday.
Giuliani, who previously served as the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan, has lost his law license for perpetuating false election claims.
The mother and daughter claimed they have suffered emotional and reputational harm after Giuliani singled them out when he made false claims of ballot-tampering in Georgia.
