Ohio Governor confronts Trump’s lies regarding immigrants eating cats
In Springfield, Ohio, Gov. Mike DeWine is taking a stand against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s false claims about Haitian workers.
During a visit to McGregor Metal, a family-owned factory that employs Haitians, DeWine reassured workers saying, “Everyone’s family came from somewhere,” emphasizing the importance of welcoming legal immigrants.
This comes as Republican vice-presidential candidate Senator JD Vance has been spreading false stories about immigrants, labeling them as “illegal aliens.”
Earlier, Trump had blamed Haitian immigrants for eating local residents’ cats.
Local resident Nathan Clark expressed frustration with the hateful rhetoric and demanded respect for the community.
