Erdogan slams Netanyahu at UN, compares him to Hitler
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan compared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Adolf Hitler in an address at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
He called for global action to halt what he described as a “murder network.”
Erdoğan also criticized the UN for ineffectiveness.
He urged the UN Security Council to implement measures against Israel, stressing the devastating toll of its war on Gaza in which it has killed over 41,000 Palestinians, with one estimate placing the death toll at 186,000.
He condemned American military support for Israel and challenged the UN to act quickly to prevent further genocide in Gaza.
Erdoğan also stressed the need to recognize the State of Palestine, asserting that nations supporting Israel are complicit in its ongoing war.
