Stories of brutal torture emerge from Israel’s Ofer Prison
A Palestinian prisoner, identified as GV, has accused Israeli interrogators at Ofer Prison in the occupied West Bank of trying to drown him in toilet water.
Released by the Palestine Prisoners’ Board and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Association, a report details GV’s harrowing account of torture and abuse.
Captured on March 2 in Khan Younis in Gaza, GV described brutal treatment, including beatings, restraint, and humiliation.
The report claims such torture, including surgery without anesthesia and sexual assaults, is pervasive in Israeli detention facilities.
