At least 4 Palestinians killed as Israel continues to pound Gaza
GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – At least four Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, the Civil Defense Agency said.
The fatalities were reported in Israeli attacks targeting two homes in Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, the agency said.
Several people were also injured in Israeli shelling of a farmland in the Nuseirat refugee camp and a house in the southern city of Khan Younis, it added.
Israel has killed nearly 39,800 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 92,000 others since October last year, according to local health authorities.
After more than 10 months of Israeli attacks, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered it to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
