More than 20 arrested at New York protest during Biden visit
Tensions escalated in New York City on Friday as President Joe Biden’s visit coincided with a heated protest organized by the free-Palestine group Within Our Lifetime.
The demonstration drew hundreds of participants and focused on advocating for Lebanon and Palestine, which Israel has occupied and targeted with American financial and political support.
Protesters distributed flyers bearing the headline “genocidal politicians are not welcome in New York.”
Police intervened as the protest intensified, leading to the arrest of more than 20 demonstrators.
