Maryland authenticates Palestinian driver’s license
Maryland’s Motor Vehicle Administration has decided to certify a valid foreign driver’s license issued by the Palestinian Authority.
The Palestinian immigrant who held the license was denied authentication earlier.
This placed a financial and emotional burden on her and delayed her ability to look for a job, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry commended the MVA for its decision to rectify the error and uphold fairness and equality.
