Women’s group alleges assault by Congressman Ezell on Palestinian-American activist
Mississippi Congressman Mike Ezell has been accused by women’s activist group CODEPINK of assaulting Palestinian-American activist Sumer Mobarak in Washington, DC.
The incident was captured on video and shared on social media.
It allegedly shows Ezell slapping Mobarak while she was asking him questions about his support to Israel.
According to CODEPINK’s press release, Mobarak has filed assault charges against Ezell with Capitol Police, who are investigating the incident.
Ezell’s office in turn has accused CODEPINK of being linked to the Chinese Communist Party and attempting to influence Congress’s stance on Israel.
