Israel kills 34 and injures 68 others in Gaza
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed at least 34 Palestinians and injured 68 others within a 24-hour period, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The strikes targeted residential areas causing multiple fatalities, including children.
The first strike targeted a house belonging to the Al-Khatib family in the Jneina neighborhood, killing three people, including a child.
The second targeted a house belonging to the Al-Khawaja family in the Shabora refugee camp, killing seven Palestinians, including a baby, and injuring others.
A third airstrike targeting a house belonging to the Abu Taha family, killed 10 Palestinians, including three children.
Israel has intensified its assault on Rafah, despite global concern over potential mass casualties among the city’s one million displaced residents.
Israel has killed at least 34,454 Palestinians and wounded 77,575 in Gaza since Oct. 7.
The revised death toll in Israel from Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks stands at 1,139, with dozens of people still held prisoner in Gaza.
