Palestinian child killed by Israeli forces in West Bank
BETHLEHEM, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian child was killed by Israeli army fire in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, the Health Ministry said.
A ministry statement identified the victim as Mahmoud Muhammad Zaaoul, 16, in the town of Husan west of Bethlehem.
His death brought the tally of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since Oct. 7 to 303.
According to witnesses, Israeli army forces raided the town of Husan and searched several houses there amid resistance from the residents.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip following an attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
