Hezbollah says 4 of its fighters killed in southern Lebanon
BEIRUT, Lebanon (AA) – Hezbollah on Sunday said that four of its fighters were killed while fighting the Israeli army in southern Lebanon.
The death toll of Hezbollah affiliates killed in fighting with the Israeli army since Oct. 7 has risen to 22.
Tensions have flared along the Israeli-Lebanese border amid Israeli airstrikes against the Gaza Strip following an Oct. 7 cross-border attack by Hamas into Israeli border positions and Jewish-only settlements.
Hezbollah has fought several wars with Israel, the latest in 2006, during which the Lebanese group struck major Israeli cities with rockets, causing significant property damage.
