Israeli forces detain 80 more Palestinians in West Bank raids
ISTANBUL (AA) – Israel forces have detained 80 Palestinians in various parts of the occupied West Bank, said the Palestinian Prisoners Society on Friday.
Those arrested included members of the Legislative Council, two journalists, and former prisoners. The arrests were made in Ramallah, Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, and Tulkarm.
The statement mentioned that since the start of Israel’s “systematic revenge operations against the Palestinian people” on October 7, the number of Palestinians detained in the West Bank has exceeded 930.
Gaza has been under Israeli bombardment and blockade since October 7.
It is experiencing a dire humanitarian crisis, with no electricity, while water, food, fuel, and medical supplies are running out.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for an “immediate humanitarian cease-fire” to ease the “epic human suffering.”
