Iran’s IRGC soldier killed in Syria
ISTANBUL (AA) – An Iranian soldier from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in Syria, Iranian media reported on Monday.
The semi-official Fars News Agency identified the soldier as Yahya Rostami, who was killed on August 31.
The agency, however, did not give further details about the circumstances of his death.
Iran, which supports the brutal Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad in his long drawn civil war, maintains a military presence in Syria.
