Türkiye to supply drones to Kuwait
ANKARA – Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar has secured a contract with the Kuwaiti government.
The deal, valued at $367 million, involves the sale of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs).
Baykar and the Kuwaiti army jointly announced the agreement, marking another success for the company in expanding its international presence.
In a statement on Twitter, Baykar expressed satisfaction with the successful negotiation with the Kuwaiti government.
Haluk Bayraktar, the company’s general manager, emphasized the significance of the Bayraktar TB2 in promoting peace and security.
He highlighted that the drones, already exported to 30 countries, including Poland, Qatar, Azerbaijan, and Morocco, will serve Kuwait in various capacities.
The Kuwaiti Air Force operations chief, General Fahad Al-Dosari, praised the drone’s capabilities.
This contract positions Kuwait as the 30th country to finalize an agreement for the Bayraktar TB2.
