Agreements signed in Islamic bank meeting to improve Afghanistan’s infrastructure
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AA): For improving infrastructure and supporting humanitarian projects in Afghanistan, seven agreements were signed on Friday during the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
The four-day event, which started in the Saudi port city of Jeddah, saw dozens of international deals signed in many fields, including trade and humanitarian aid projects.
The agreements were signed by various international institutions such as the World Food Program, UNICEF, Aga Khan Foundation, International Medical Corps, International Organization for Migration, and IsDB.
The deals aim to back several initiatives in Afghanistan, including projects related to water resources and sanitation facilities, rural development, child care, and food security.
