Biden on Syria strike: US ‘does not seek conflict with Iran’
Ottawa, Canada (AFP):
President Joe Biden said Friday after ordering air strikes on Syria that killed pro-Iran fighters that he is not seeking conflict with Iran.
“Make no mistake, the United States does not seek conflict with Iran, but is prepared to act forcefully to protect our people,” he told a news conference during a visit to Ottawa after the strikes carried out in retaliation for a drone attack that killed an American.
