Türkiye’s foreign minister to visit Algeria
ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will pay a two-day visit to Algeria beginning Saturday, according to the country’s Foreign Ministry on Friday.
Cavusoglu is expected to be received by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss regional and international issues and ties between the two nations, said a ministry statement.
He will also co-chair the first meeting of the Joint Planning Group, formed to monitor implementation of decisions taken at the Türkiye-Algeria High-Level Cooperation Council.
The council was held under the chairmanship of Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Tebboune in May in Türkiye.
