OMAR, TLAIB, AND CARSON ALL PROJECTED TO WIN
All three Muslim lawmakers in the U.S. House are projected to cruise to reelection in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
Various outlets have called the races for Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Andre Carson.
Omar and Tlaib are a part of a group of six progressive House lawmakers known as the “squad.”
Fox News projects that the “Squad,” is likely to grow in the next Congress by as many as 10 members.
This was after the midterm election handed wins to four new progressive left lawmakers.
In her thank you message, Omar said “As a little girl huddled in a refugee camp, displaced from a civil war that tore my birth country of Somalia apart, I just wanted to make it out alive. The United States of America felt like a dream, something that you imagine in your twilight hours, not a reality you will ever be able to experience firsthand.
