World Faces Most Dangerous Decade Since World War II : Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Thursday that the world faces “probably the most dangerous” decade since the end of World War II.
Putin tried to justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has left his country internationally isolated.
He also accused the West of nuclear blackmail to force allies to shun Moscow.
The West has denounced the Kremlin’s recent veiled nuclear threats.
Earlier this week, the NATO military alliance condemned unsubstantiated claims by Russia that Ukraine might use a “dirty bomb.”
Those are conventional explosives laced with radioactive material.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said alliance members “reject this allegation”.
He also warned Russia against using it as a “pretext for escalation.”
