Saudi Arabia Denies MBS Mocks U.S. President
Saudi Arabia has denied reports that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman mocks U.S. President Joe Biden in private sessions.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the kingdom’s leaders have always respected U.S. presidents.
He stressed that the allegations “are completely false.”
The Wall Street Journal cited Saudi sources saying the crown prince makes fun of Biden’s gaffes and questions his mental acuity in private.
The journal reports sources said bin Salman has told advisers he hasn’t been impressed with Biden since his days as vice president and that he prefers former President Donald Trump.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre described the allegations as “ridiculous.”
She said Biden has been clear about reviewing the U.S.’ relationship with Saudi Arabia.
