Palestinian fatally shot by Israeli army near Ramallah
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A Palestinian was killed by Israeli army fire on Thursday near the West Bank city of Ramallah.
A statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health said the Palestinian was gunned down by Israeli forces at the entrance to Beitin town near Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli soldiers opened live fire on the unarmed victim near a military checkpoint in the town.
The Israeli army sealed off the area and prevented medics from reaching the victim, which led to his death according to eye witnesses.
Israeli raids and attacks on unarmed Palestinian civilians on the basis of suspicion have markedly increased. Often there is no investigation or accountability for these killings.
There was no comment yet from the Israeli military on the report.
