Afghanistan Bans TikTok As It ‘Misleads The Younger Generation’
On Thursday, the Taliban-led interim government in Afghanistan banned TikTok as part of a drive to block “immoral” content.
Inamullah Samangani, deputy spokesperson of the interim administration said on Twitter the social media app “misleads the younger generation,”
The popular South Korean PUBG PUB JEE battle game has also been blocked, he said.
Samangani added that Afghan television channels should be prevented from airing “immoral” material and programs “as much as possible.”
He said the communications and IT ministry will implement the decisions taken by the cabinet.
