Turkiye kills 13 PKK men in northern Syria
ANKARA (AA) – The Turkish army killed 13 PKK men in northern Syria, near Turkiye’s southern border, the National Defense Ministry said on Sunday.
The ministry said on Twitter that the “terrorists” attempted to attack an area falling under Turkiye’s Operation Peace Spring zone.
Since 2016, Turkiye has launched a trio of operations across its border in northern Syria: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), and Peace Spring (2019).
Turkiye alleges that PKK is responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people during last 35 years.
