Clashes Rock West Bank As Palestinian Attacker Killed
Clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians rocked the West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday.
The violence sparked after a Palestinian stabbed a police officer in Israel before being shot dead.
Israeli troops launched a fourth day of operations around Jenin after an assailant from the city shot and killed three people in a Tel Aviv bar last week.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett visited the reopened bar after the attack.
The shooting sparked an all-night manhunt before the suspected shooter was killed in a firefight.
Jenin residents told AFP new fighting broke out after multiple gun battles in recent days.
Palestinian news agency Wafa said clashes erupted between young Palestinian men and Israeli soldiers “who fired live bullets, stun grenades and tear gas.”
