‘Most Dangerous Point In Human History’ Looming, Chomsky Warns
Common Dreams reports that scholar Noam Chomsky has said the planet is being pushed toward “the most dangerous point in human history,”
In an interview published by The New Statesman on Wednesday, Chomsky spoke about Russia’s war in Ukraine and the planetary emergency.
He condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “criminal aggression” in Ukraine.
Russian forces have killed over 1,000 civilians since the Feb. 24 invasion, the United Nations reports.
The U.N. is urging the U.S. help to negotiate peace to avoid nuclear war with Russia.
Chomsky has called for “enhanced military cooperation with Ukraine” and urges the U.S. to help protect Ukrainians from further suffering.
