4 police officers killed in ISIS attack in northeastern Nigeria
ABUJA, Nigeria (AA) – At least four police officers have been killed by ISIS in West Africa Province (ISWAP) in northeastern Nigeria in an attack on a police station, according to media reports.
Members of the militant group attacked the station in the Nganzai region in the Borno state where in addition to the slain officers, many were injured in the attack.
The attackers took hold of the officers’ weapons and ammunition.
Nigeria has recently been facing attacks from militant groups such as Boko Haram and ISWAP, as well as armed gangs.
